Tour Itinerary

The Angkor Wat Big Circuit Tour takes you to see some of the temples which are a little further out. The first temple we’ll visit is Preah Khan. It was built for the popular King Jayavarman VII and he dedicated it to his late father. Preah Khan has been left in it’s ruinous state and is a popular temple on this tour.

After Preah Khan, we’ll go and see Neak Pean temple which translates as “The entwined serpents”. It was built in the middle of a large man-made Baray (reservoir). Also built by the prolific King Jayavarman VII around the same time as Angkor Wat.

Ta Som temple is next on the list and this unique temple has also been left to the jungle and trees are growing right through the middle of the structure. It was also built at a similar time as Angkor Way by King Jayavarman VII.

We’ll stop for lunch in the Angkor Archaeological Park. We are happy to recommend a restaurant for you or we can take you to a restaurant of your choosing.

We’ll then go to one of the most important temples from the whole era, Banteay Srei Temple. This temple is called the “Jewel of Khmer Art” and is considered to be the beginning of the great Angkor empire. Dedicated to Shiva, the Hindu god, it has since become a place of worship for Buddhists.

Banteay Samre is next on the agenda and it’s a Hindu temple which looks similar to Angkor Wat. Finally, we’ll go see the beautiful sunset at Preah Rup, an old funeral site for the ancient Angkor Empire.

At the conclusion of the tour, we will drop you safely back to your hotel.
