Tour Information

We will come and collect you from your hotel and drop you off back to your hotel after each day. You can choose between the first four days of the tour, or take the full week tour of Siem Reap. Each day has a different pickup time which is detailed in the itinerary below.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Pick Up Time: 8:30am

Transport Type: Tuk Tuk

In the morning we will explore the ancient city of Angkor Thom and we will enter the city from the South Gate. We will then move on to see Bayon, Baphuon, the Royal Enclosure, the Terrace of the Elephants, the Terrace of the Leper King, Preah Palilay and Preah Pithu Group.

In the afternoon, you can explore the world famous Angkor Wat and we will explain the history and important features of the world’s largest religious monument to you.

Day 2
Pick Up Time: 8:00am

Transport Type: Taxi

In the morning we’ll start with Kbal Spean which is located around 50km outside of Siem Reap. Here will will see the “River of a Thousand Lingas” where you will see carvings in the river bed. These carvings represent the phallic symbol of Shiva, the Hindu God.

We’ll then stop for lunch and head back towards Siem Reap to visit Banteay Srey which translates into English as the “Citadel of the Women”. It’s thought that the carvings are so fine that they couldn’t have been done by men, hence the name Banteay Srey.

We will also see the Butterfly Center and a local sugar palm village in the local area. We’ll end this day with a trip to Banteay Samre.

Day 3
Pick Up Time: 8:00am

Transport Type: Tuk Tuk

On the third day, we’ll combine parts of the small and big circuit Angkor Wat tours. In the morning, we’ll see Pre Rup and Preah Khan before stopping for lunch.

We will then see Ta Prohm, Banteay Kdei, Terrace of Sras Srang, Takeo and Kravan temples before taking you back to your hotel.

Day 4
Pick Up Time: 8:00am

Transport Type: Taxi

We’ll start the morning with a trip to Kampong Khleang which is one of the three floating villages located on top of the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, the great Tonle Sap. Here you can witness how locals live their lives on top of the water with clinics, markets, and even schools sitting on floating structures on the water.

After lunch we will visit the Roluos group of temples which include Bakong, Preah Ko and Lolei. These early temples were built some time before the famous Angkor Wat and are some of the finest examples of early Khmer architecture.

Day 5
Pick Up Time: 8:00am

Transport Type: Taxi

In the morning we will go to visit Koh Ker which has a similar design to some of the South American Inca temples. It’s a square pyramid and quite unique when compared to other Khmer temples. It’s also located some way outside of Siem Reap and therefore isn’t visited by most tourists, so you can have a relaxing time when exploring this temple.

in the afternoon, we’ll head out to Beng Mealea which was built around the same time as Angkor Wat. It’s a stunning temple and it’s located on an ancient royal highway which was used by the kings and queens of the time to get around their kingdom.

Day 6
Pick Up Time: 8:00am

Transport Type: Boat

We will leave Siem Reap by tuk tuk to get to the Tonle Sap lake. Here we will change to a boat and take the short trip out to Prek Toal which is a wildlife sanctuary. You can see lots of birds and other wildlife which are native to Cambodia and it’s a must-see attraction for any budding photographers or bird watchers.

Day 7
Pick Up Time: 8:00am

Transport Type: Tuk Tuk

On the final day of the seven day tour, we will explore Siem Reap city. There are lots of things to do in the city including the cultural village, national museum, crocodile farm, local markets and more. We will give you a range of options and take you to see anything you want in the town.

We will also visit a local village so you can see how the locals live their daily lives before stopping at Artisan d’Angkor where you can see locals producing traditional Khmer arts and crafts.
